ReplyDeletei bet you wish you went private now don't ya . Bloody good old John sullivan for making a classic sitcom lots of laughs and tears through the years . its show the older generation and the younger generation to watch it , bloody brillant Sitcom .
ReplyDeleteHilary is.fine damm u.know u.shit
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree with you any more you know you're sickcoms.and the get the biggest thumbs up ever.im only 13 and ofah and the fresh prince are my favs as well
ReplyDeleteI'll like to add something here, there arent many brilliant comedy sitcoms that tackles serious issues like OFAH did here BUT I know Fresh Prince Of BelAir has tackled serious issues involving gunshot victim, drug overdose, father and son scenes. IMO, Fresh Prince and OFAH are 2 of the best sitcoms EVER...+ in a weird way you can actually draw comparisons between the 2 sitcoms with Del + Rodney in OFAH and Will + Carlton in Fresh Prince, even Trigger (OFAH) is as dippy as hot + sexy Hilary (FP)
ReplyDeleteI'm American and I love OFAH.
ReplyDeleteOfah is genious, along with dear john and citizen smith... All thank's too John.. Sir John :) any one know if just good friend's is as awesome?? ^_^ oh and btw, thanks for the uploads
ReplyDeleteAgree with the comments below. The whole point of OFAH is to focus on a particular aspect of London culture.
ReplyDeleteYep Del Boy is as british as beans on toast lol!!! and your right in saying it is all down to culture ... sometimes Americans don't find the same things funny as the Brits. lol to right Del Boy will do anything for a quick dollar!!! who knows this time next year he could be a millionaire,OMG Trigger just cracks me up : )

ReplyDeleteDel-Boy is a very British character and I cant see anyone doing a US version of his role ..I know some Americans personally living in the UK who watch OFAH and even they said it wont work in America because a lot of it is down to different cultures.between the 2 countries. Del Boy selling faulty goods in NYC? He'll do ANYTHING for a quick dollar lol....actually how the hell will they fit Trigger into the equation - now he is one very unique character...OFAH is Sarf London through and through
ReplyDeleteYou share the same view as me there, there are many shows that the USA has made work but OFAH is so London based e.g London sense of humour. Del Boy is very British and somehow i just can't see him selling those faulty goods in NYC!!!
ReplyDeleteMany programs will work on both sides of the Atlantic, but a selected few will only work in specific countries and OFAH is one of the selected few programs that will only work in the UK and nowhere else..this program is too London-like for the US. I mean they might make something similar and it could work for them. Being a former Brit expat in the US, I just cannot see this formula working over there
ReplyDeleteYour right all on all it's a job well done to the writers!!! great british comedy,i've heard their taking OFAH stateside but i don't really see them pulling it off : )
ReplyDeleteAmazing script writing...this program really knows how to put seriousness and laughter together, absolutely astonishing
ReplyDeleteJust brilliant. I love how they break the heavyness of the scene with Del Crying just as it's about to get a bit much on the depressing side.
ReplyDeleteNo writer comes close nor will any writer in future come close, to how John Sulivan made you laugh and cry in same episode and do both in space of couple scenes.
ReplyDeleteOnly Fools And Horses the best comedy off all time!!!
del crying is sooooo funny haha
